Information used by Nuvora POS
Nuvora POS processes the account identity used to sign in, store contact and branding settings, employee usernames and roles, inventory, customer details, sales and payment records, stock movements, device purchases, and repair or unlock records entered by authorized users. The app records payment amounts; these records are not card credentials.
If a customer authorizes a device access code for testing, the store may enter that code in a protected service record. Employee password verifiers are stored rather than readable employee passwords. Device access codes are encrypted and are cleared when the service is marked delivered or cancelled, or when the service entry is deleted.
Stores are responsible for entering information they are authorized to process and for explaining their own use of customer information. This policy covers Nuvora POS and its optional Google integration.
Google Drive access and purpose
Only after an administrator authorizes it, Nuvora POS requests the Google Drive permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. It uses this permission to create, list, read and verify encrypted backups in the app's own hidden application data folder, and to retrieve a selected copy for restoration. It does not request access to unrelated files in your personal Drive.
Backups may include inventory, customers, repairs, unlocks, purchases, receipt and payment history including deleted records, stock movements, employee accounts and password verifiers, security settings and store identity. Active login sessions, Google authorization credentials and subscription or computer-license records are excluded.
We use Google authorization tokens to maintain the connection you approved. Nuvora POS does not ask for or receive your Google password. Google handles account selection and permission consent.
Independent account access
Nuvora POS uses your email, name and a password verifier for its own account access. We send verification and password recovery links through the configured email provider. Account passwords are hashed, not stored in plaintext. Account sessions and rate-limit records protect access. No ChatGPT account is required. Store staff credentials and business encryption passwords are separate from account access.
Storage and protection
Operational records are stored on the service's hosted infrastructure. Drive backups are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from the backup password. Google authorization credentials and the backup password needed for automatic copies are encrypted under a server key. These saved credentials are not returned to the app's browser interface.
Save your backup password separately: it is required to open saved copies. Authorized administrators can restore a backup only after security checks and creation of a verified safety copy. Restoring replaces the store records and signs out existing employee sessions.
Sharing and limited use of Google data
We use Google user data only to provide and protect the backup and restoration features described here. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Google processes the authorized Drive requests and stores the encrypted files in your account. Hosting providers process data needed to run the service.
Access by people is limited to what is necessary for support with your permission, security or abuse investigation, or applicable legal obligations. Nuvora POS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices, retention and deletion
Google Drive is optional. You can disconnect it from Nuvora POS's Backups screen, which revokes the Google grant and removes the saved connection credentials and automatic-backup password from the app. You can also revoke access from your Google account's third-party connections settings.
Disconnecting does not delete existing Drive backup files or local copies. All app-created backup copies are retained unless the account holder deletes the application's stored data through Google Drive settings or requests assistance. Google's storage limits and account rules apply. Deleting or uninstalling the app's stored data in Drive can permanently remove those copies.
Store records are not automatically erased when a subscription stops. To request access, correction, export or deletion of data held by Nuvora POS, contact us below. We will verify your authority over the account and explain any applicable record-retention obligations. Copies you downloaded or stored in your own Google account remain under your control.
